I grew up in a small Métis community surrounded by seven siblings and many cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Family is key to knowing who you are. My memories of learning through family adventures, cooking and sharing stories has shaped who I am and will remain with me forever. I am a proud Métis woman who has aspired to be educated in social work and Indigenous studies so I can be a support for others in my larger Indigenous community. In my personal life, I have four children and many pets who keep me busy but loved daily.
